Kurt Zuch

Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder

Kurt Zuch is the Chief Executive Officer and co-founder of Five Point Partners. He brings nearly 20 years of utility industry and entrepreneurial experience to Five Point Partners.

Kurt began his career with Andersen Consulting’s (now Accenture) information systems consulting practice in Washington, DC. Identifying a market opportunity for utility consulting services, he founded Pathways Consulting in late 1994. He sold Pathways in 1996 to Computer Management Sciences (CMSI), then a publicly traded consulting firm (NASDAQ:CMSI).

In late 1999, Kurt joined Excelergy Corporation, a start-up software provider of utility centric solutions, in Boston, MA to become the Vice President of Professional Services and head of the Atlanta office. He then joined Novient, Inc. in late 2000 to become Vice President of Professional Services. He was promoted to Senior Vice President of Operations in 2001, responsible for managing and coordinating all operational activities, including Software Development, Professional Services, IT, and Product Support.

During the sale of Novient, Kurt relaunched in the consulting business as the Founder and Managing Partner of Capstone Consulting Partners, Inc. Capstone commenced business operations in 2002 to provide strategy, solution delivery and application management consulting services to companies within the energy industry. In November 2004, Capstone was sold to a publicly traded company out of Dallas, Alliance Data (NYSE: ADS). Kurt assumed the position of Senior Vice President at Alliance Data responsible for Strategy and Mergers & Acquisitions for the Utility Services Division.

Kurt has a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems from Virginia Tech.
