Robert Batson

Chief Technology Officer and Co-founder

Robert (“Bobby”) Batson is the Chief Technology Officer and co-founder of Five Point Partners. He has over 20 years of industry and entrepreneurial experience.

Bobby began his career with General Electric as a systems engineer. He then joined the Washington D.C. office of Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) working in their information systems consulting practice.  Bobby spent the bulk of his Andersen Consulting career working in the utility industry as a software developer and project manager for customer information system installations.

After attaining a master’s degree in business, Bobby entered the investment banking field covering the IT Services and Software sectors. During his six year career, he originated and/or executed a variety of investment banking transactions, including public and private equity financings, mergers and acquisitions, debt financings and principal investments.

After leaving investment banking in 2002, Bobby joined Capstone Consulting Partners as a Partner and chief financial officer.  At Capstone, Bobby was responsible for managing the company’s internal operations.   He also worked successfully with the other Capstone partners to negotiate and execute the sale of Capstone to Alliance Data (NYSE:ADS) in 2004. Upon completion of the acquisition, Bobby was appointed Vice President of Utility Division Mergers & Acquisitions at Alliance Data.

Bobby holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from The University of Alabama and a Master of Business Administration from Vanderbilt University.
