Available Positions

PROJECT MANAGER - PM (CIS)

The PM provides direction for all aspects of the project related to overall guidance of work plans and activities, status reporting, financials, and personnel. The PM leads the initial effort to pull together information from core project team members and documents to confirm and assemble a working draft of the project charter. The PM will direct all phases of the project life cycle.

• Essential Duties and Primary Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Design and direct project work plans, preparing and adhering to budget financials, managing and mentoring personnel, and facilitating team interaction.
  • Balance scope, schedule, budget, quality and risks.
  • Measure and monitor progress at clearly defined points of the process to ensure that the project is delivered on time, within budget, and that it meets or exceeds expectations.
  • Manage the activities to determine and document business, interface, reporting, and external communication requirements, product enhancements and modifications, appropriate system configuration, testing, conversion, and go-live.
  • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
  • Estimate resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
  • Ensure that all requirements, project plans and changes to commitment are communicated to all team members affected.
  • Ensure the project team follows all quality assurance processes, including regular reviews and transitions.
  • Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
  • Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
  • Represent the project team at client meetings.
  • Build, develop and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project and company.
  • Conduct post mortems and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
  • Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management.

• Experience
  • 10+ years of successful project management on an Oracle or SAP Customer Information System (CIS) implementation project.
  • Experience working with a mid to large-size Investor-Owned Utility (IOU), Municipal Utility (Muni) or Cooperative Utility (Co-op) company; Gas and/or Electric IOU is preferred.
  • Change management expertise and expertise with CIS, Mobile Workforce Management (MWM), Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Meter Data Management (MDM) and Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) is highly desirable.
  • Proven track record of managing mid to large-sized projects through to a successful conclusion, to include guidance, direction, financial management, monitoring project deliverables, client management, and team management.
  • Complex project management experience with a multi-level team.
  • Proven presentation and persuasion skills.
  • Proven leadership experience.
