The CIS replacement market seems to be picking up again, after deep doldrums through most of the last decade. Having basically withdrawn from the CIS market shortly after the turn of the century, major investorowned utilities, which still serve more than 70% of all customers, seem about to be forced back into the market much more rapidly than many had anticipated.
